Designed by Architectural Pottery legend LaGardo Tackett and made in Japan in the 1960’s by Schmid. This twelve piece set includes six handled cups and six matching saucers in a nice porcelain white. Cups are all about 4” tall, saucers 3.5” diameter. *one saucer has a tiny chip that is hardly noticeable but I did photograph for full transparency
These are functional sculptures in our minimalizing world. To be displayed like works of art when not being used, while also bringing a wonderful sense of perseverance to the home. A strength that comes from the journey they have survived for decades unbroken and together, fragile as they all are. That’s why vintage items like these make for some of my favorite wedding gifts.
